Joy Shaker Stocking Tag for Clear Scraps

Hi crafty friends!

Holiday crafting would not be complete without creating a tag this season. Today I am sharing a joy filled tag that is sure to shake some happiness into someone's day.

I am big on using my stash, so I pulled out some beautiful Christmas paper and decided to cover a tag from the Chipboard Tag Album.

I then grabbed a Mini Shaker Stocking and began building my shaker stocking. I first covered the backing of the stocking with more Christmas paper. I then took my top layer and began painting. The top of the stocking is painted using white puffy paint. I wanted to add texture and movement. I then painted the remainder of the stocking with pink acrylic paint. Once that was dry, I added stickles for sparkle.

Once everything was dry, I adhered all of the layered and added my shaker mix inside of the Mini Shaker Stocking . I then added the painted layer to the top and began decorating. I chose to die cut some Christmas foliage and added flowers.

To finish the stocking, I added an acrylic sentiment, which is actually from a food pick. So, I simply removed the pick part and tucked it in. I adhered the shaker to my tag, added a rope tie to the top, and there we have it. I love how this this tag turned out. It would be perfect on a gift, however, I think it will end up in my December daily. It is too pretty to potentially have thrown away, right?

Tell me what you think by leaving a comment below. I hope you enjoyed this project share and are having a wonderful holiday season. If you choose to recreate this, please tag me on social media and post in the Clear Scraps Facebook group.

As always, happy crafting and happy holidays!
